An Own Goal

Success is not just about goals.

Making goals is an important skill, but it's not as easy as some people say. Yes, I can say I have goals, but do I really?

"I want to make $2000 a month within a year."

Is this a genuine goal, or not? Yes, of course it's a target, but it's only a real goal that will make a difference to your life if it is YOUR goal. Is this something that you really want?

You must see some progress towards your goal, or otherwise you will give up, and forget that you made the goal. This can be small, anything really, but it has to be measurable.

A problem with saying you want to earn $£.... a month is that it seems definite, but sometimes it isn't. It's just a figure that you've plucked out of the air.

Or it could be someone else's goal, and not your own.
