Does Money Exist

Does money exist? It's a interesting concept that money doesn't exist, but tell that to the beggar on the street with his plastic cup. If it doesn't exist why are so many people scrabbling around trying to earn it?

I'm sure Northern Rock wish that they had acted more like money did exist because you can argue that their meltdown is a result behaving as if it was not real. Indeed, this is a danger of all banking and borrowing/lending. Money is just digits on a computer screen and can be transferred here and there without any apparent penalties. Now Northern Rock owe the Bank of England billions of pounds, and are expected in three years' time to still owe billions it's obvious there are consequences even for banks.

If you want more money do not focus on money -- focus on the service you give-- the difference you make; then the money will follow.

Money is an invention of man. It only exists in the mind of man -- to a cat or dog it means nothing. A dog fetches sticks, loves his owner without expecting any money. He wants his dinner, to explore on walks, to run around and to get good feelings from his pack leader. Give a dog a ten pound note (20 dollar bill) and it might chew on it for awhile, rip it in half, or play tug of war with it. The dog will not put it to one side carefully, and stack them up in a saings account.

Yet, the dog will live out his life happily.
