Teach a Duck to Fly!

It’s impossible to motivate other people.

You can lead a duck to water, but you can’t make him drink, as they say.

Trying to motivate others is like teaching a duck to fly by standing on the riverbank flapping your arms up and down going QUACK- QUACK- QUACK-A-TY-QUACK.
It’s a laugh, gives you an incredible feeling, and sure makes the duck laugh. And for some ducks it actually works.

But for 97 ducks out of a 100 it goes right over there heads and down their backs—like water off a duck’s back. And when that happens it can leave you feeling discouraged, and down. You don’t want to look another duck in the eye again.

But when one of those 3 special ducks in a 100 comes along just talking to them, flapping your arms quirkily makes your day, or even your month.

Get that duck flying, and you’ll be flying yourself with the amazing feeling that you can do this all day long.

And that‘s a great secret to motivation. Sometimes you have to enthuse others first to get motivated and enthused yourself. And sometimes it’s best to start with ducks.
