London suicide bombers

In the last few days the police have released far more detail about the suicide bombers they say blew themselves up in London last week. From what I hear they appeared to be normal men-- one was a keen cricketer, who'd studied sport science and had a good future ahead. Another worked with children, and people have had only good things to say about him. There is some doubt amongst some people that these were the culprits.

The police wouldn't release this information if they didn't have very strong evidence. And, by being normal people they are the ideal candidates for this kind of criminal activity -- they don't arouse suspicion, so the men behind them can kill more people. Because there had to be a group of extremists behind these men to supply the explosives, and to convince them to sacrifice themselves.

Also, the official death toll is now at 53.

There was a two minute silence to honour the dead today-- marking a week since the tragic event last week.
