I Get Knocked Down.....

It says in a famous poem by Rudyard Kipling that if you can react to success and failure in exactly the same way, then you're a man.

I know what he means. Not to let apparent failure hurt you too much. When you are knocked down the only thing to do again is to get back up. You can spend hours and days moping around, agonising over something, but when it boils down to it you knew what you needed to do all along.

And you are the greatest block to your success. Not doing what you know you should do.

Of course I'm not going to go round celebrating when I lose my job; if I win the lottery I'm not going to sulk-- of course I'd celebrate!
