I spoke to both Alex & Jeff over the weekend. They're American friends who I may have mentioned here before. Jeff is the one who sent me the painting I have on my wall.
Alex lives in New Jersey, and Jeff lives near to Washington D.C. It's been around 8 years since I saw Alex, but I saw Jeff around 5 years ago in Germany. It was great to speak with them, and talking to them it was as if nothing had changed. Still the same jokes at each others expense.
Great to hear from them. Gives me a goal to aim for: To meet up with them once a year whether it's in the US or Europe. This year I've suggested we meet up in the Czech Republic for Xmas.
I'll write a little tomorrow on our joint history. (Not to sound too pompous, but...)
