Paris is a wonderful, romantic city, but first impressions do count! When we got off the plane at Charles de Gaulle airport one of the first things I wanted to do was go to the toilet. Had plenty of time while we waited for the bags to come down onto the carousel.
Well, the women had quite a queue and while they were waiting they could peek round the wall at men using the urinal. It came as a shock to me that the only thing stopping people watch me relieve myself was a tiny wall.
But as we spent more time in Paris, and went to a few restaurants, we found that to be quite typical. You might even say that Paris didn't get the Olympics due to poor toilet facilities!
