World Cup Agony

Yes, England lost again on penalties in a World Cup quarter final. David Beckham resigned as England captain, Sven Goran Eriksson has made way for Steve McClaren. Yes, we could have played better, but we fought valiantly as 10 men, and Portugal were unable to beat us until it came to the roulette of penalties.

Our first choice penalty taker missed-- Frank Lampard-- and so did everyone else except for Owen Hargreaves, who plays for Bayern Munich. Germans are always good at penalties! Ok he's not German, but his long period playing for Bayern has obviously helped.

The Ozzies were even harder done by-- losing to a penalty due to Italian playacting. Poor Socceroos!

Well, the French are finally playing well, and my best guess for the eventual winners is between France or Germany. Don't mind which, though I hope it doesn't go to penalties-- if it does lets hope Germany miss!

Yes, this is a bit out of date. Who won the World Cup anyway? France should have won, they played better in the final.

Italy won, then went home to face the music of corruption.
